Dividend Update: May 2022

My May 2022 dividend total is $2,875.82

This means that in May:

  • I earned $95.86 every day from dividends ($2,875.82 / 30 days).
  • I earned $16.34 per hour from dividends (assuming a 9-5pm job).
  • I earned $3.99 every hour of every day of the month from dividends.
  • My top 3 dividend earners this month were concentrated in the financial industry and accounted for almost 60% of my monthly dividend total:
    1. Toronto Dominion Bank ($906.02) – 31.5% of my monthly dividend total
    2. Bank of Montreal ($480.13) – 16.7% of my monthly dividend total
    3. Royal Bank ($267.09) – 9.3% of my monthly dividend total
  • Including rental property income, my total passive income in May was $3,282.27
  • This was the fourth month I received income from my addy property investment of $28.46

    Curious for the thought process behind buying Lightspeed. Beaten down tech, but unprofitable and no divvy so what’s the appeal for you?

      It’s beaten down. Tech overall is beaten down. I’ve been picking up tech mainly through a globally diversified technology ETF but putting some small amounts into select beaten down tech stocks.
